Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club is one of South Africa's most storied golf clubs. Its story began in 1890, and in 1998 Royal Johannesburg merged with Kensington Golf Club, the first merger of its kind in South Africa. Today it is a private members' club where visitors are welcome, with two courses (the East championship course and the West course), a revamped clubhouse and function wing, and the Old Oak restaurant overlooking the fairways. It calls itself the "Home of Golf South Africa".

The club is in Linksfield North, in the heart of Johannesburg yet close to Sandton, and about a 20-minute drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport, which makes it easy for corporate guests and out-of-town golfers to reach.
Weddings, Conferences and Functions

With two courses on one property, Royal Johannesburg & Kensington is a classic Johannesburg golf-day venue, from small client days to large corporate fields. The club also has a driving range and golf academy, padel courts and the Royal Retreat wellness and fitness centre.
Fun Casino Evenings at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington
Fun Casino Entertainment has entertained at the club since 2019, at golf-day evenings for around 250 guests. A casino evening after a big golf day gives everyone, golfers and non-golfers, a chance to compete.
