Casalinga Organic Farm is one of Gauteng’s most enchanting country event destinations, set on a working farm in Muldersdrift, just 20 minutes from Johannesburg. With over 30 years of history, this beloved Italian-inspired farm retreat has grown into a multi-faceted destination offering organic restaurants, artisanal outlets, farm-stay accommodation, and seven versatile event venues — all set within beautifully landscaped gardens, fruit orchards, and a working organic vegetable garden.

Event Spaces and Facilities

Casalinga offers seven distinct event venues to suit every occasion, from intimate gatherings of 15 guests to large-scale festivals of 200 or more. The Piazza, the farm’s signature outdoor event space, accommodates 120 to 180 guests and is ideal for weddings, gala dinners, and corporate celebrations. The Rustic Tuscan Chapel, adorned with candles and fresh flowers, seats up to 100 guests for ceremonies. The Wine Cellar provides an underground setting for intimate dinners, while multiple indoor dining rooms cater to private functions of various sizes. Pine Forest Weddings offer a magical outdoor ceremony setting beneath a canopy of trees. All venue hire includes standard tables, chairs, white linen, crockery, silverware, and glassware, and an in-house DJ service is available.

Casalinga’s culinary philosophy is built around fresh, organic, farm-to-table ingredients grown on the property itself. The original Casalinga Ristorante Italiano serves modern Italian cuisine using only natural, preservative-free ingredients. Leafy Greens Café caters to plant-based, vegan, and vegetarian dining, while the on-site Deli, Bakery, and Coffee Roastery complete the artisanal offering. Contemporary and custom event menus are created by the executive chef to pair perfectly with any special occasion.

Accommodation and Activities
