Emperors Palace is a Peermont hotel, casino and convention resort next to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Kempton Park. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it has three hotels, a spa, a casino, restaurants and theatres, and its convention centre offers 29 facilities for groups from 8 to 3,000. Convention Venues and Capacities
Centre Court (2,698 m², 3.8 m ceiling): up to 3,000 cinema-style, 2,500 cocktail, 1,500 banquet or 1,500 schoolroom, with dressing rooms, a smoking lounge, underfloor power and vehicle access.
North Wing (30 to 2,000 delegates): the Assembly Rooms (1,656 m²) take 1,200 cocktail, 1,000 banquet or 1,200 cinema-style, and can be divided into six smaller rooms for 50 to 800.
South Wing (13 venues):
- Senate Rooms combined: 800 cocktail or 450 banquet. Senate I, Senate II and the Negotiating Council Chamber take 230 to 250 banquet each.
- Julia, Fabia, Marcia and Lucretia rooms: 40 to 200 banquet.
- Boardrooms Augustus, Claudius, Florian, Romanus and Tiberius (30 each), plus the Theodora Boardroom (20) with 86-inch smartboards and video conferencing.
The Theatre of Marcellus, Barnyard Theatre and Red Roman Shed can also be used for conventions and events.
