Bryanston Country Club

Bryanston Country Club is a private club in the heart of Bryanston, Sandton, founded in 1948 and built around a parkland-style 18-hole golf course that first opened in 1951. It calls itself "the ultimate urban country club": landscaped grounds, a terrace restaurant and bar, tennis, squash, padel and swimming, all within minutes of Sandton's offices. You do not need to be a member to book a function. The club welcomes anyone, with discounts for members.

More Than Ten Function Venues

The club's function portfolio ranges from boardrooms to a marquee for 400 guests. Capacities from the club's 2026 function portfolio:

• Grosvenor Room & Marquee: the club's largest venue, with a built-in stage and a covered patio marquee. Up to 400 cocktail, 200 dinner-dance or 300 cinema-style. Ideal for weddings, awards evenings and big corporate launches.
• Bryanston Room & Patio: a modern favourite with sliding stacking doors that open onto a terrace under a giant oak tree. Up to 200 cocktail, 100 dinner-dance or 160 cinema-style.
• Cumberland Room: an elegant upstairs venue with a balcony over the gardens. Up to 100 cocktail, 60 dinner-dance or 140 cinema-style (access by stairs only).
• Highland Room: a casual private venue next to the pool, perfect for braais and team building. Up to 120 cocktail or 80 dinner-dance.
• Homestead Room and Bowls Pavilion: up to 70 cocktail or 60 seated each. The Bowls Pavilion sits on the embankment of the bowling greens.
• Phoenix Room: the club's former fine-dining restaurant, full of old-world charm. Up to 50 cocktail or 40 seated.
• Douglas Room (40, with fitted projector) and Curzon Room (boardroom with a 46-inch screen) for meetings and workshops.
• Business pods for six, and two kids' party rooms for up to 20 children each.

Weddings, Conferences and Golf Days

Bryanston Country Club hosts weddings (indoor and outdoor), conferences for 10 to 250 delegates, corporate meetings, awards ceremonies, banquets, cocktail functions, birthdays and kids' parties. Golf days are a speciality: corporate, charity and social days include registration, on-course competitions, tailored catering and a prize-giving venue. For team building, the club offers lawn bowls on two greens for up to 94 players, pickleball and golf clinics.

Food, Drink and Practicalities

• Catering: on-site catering and bar only. Outside catering and drinks are not permitted. Menus can be tailored.
• Parking and security: ample safe, complimentary parking and 24-hour access-controlled security.
• Time slots: venues are hired from 08h00 to 17h00 or 19h00 to 24h00, with overtime available.
• Pricing: venue hire plus a minimum spend on food and drinks. Members get complimentary venue hire for personal events.

Fun Casino Evenings at Bryanston Country Club

Fun Casino Entertainment has entertained at 12 events here since 2019, including a company's 30th anniversary, fundraisers, a "Night in Vegas", year-end functions and milestone birthdays, for groups from 11 to 180 guests. The Grosvenor Room with its built-in stage and the Bryanston Room with its terrace both suit a casino evening, with plenty of space for tables alongside dinner seating.
